Magee’s Linen Hire & Commercial Laundry
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Magee’s Linen Hire & Commercial Laundry (“Magee’s”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By placing an order, using our services, or accepting delivery of goods or services, the customer (“the client”, “you”, or “your”) agrees to be bound by the following terms.
1.1 By placing an order or using our services, the client confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
1.2 These terms apply to all services including linen hire, commercial laundry, uniform cleaning, and dry cleaning.
1.3 These terms may be displayed on our website, invoices, agreements, or other documentation.
Magee’s Linen Hire & Commercial Laundry provides:
• Linen hire services
• Commercial laundry services
• Table linen and hospitality linen services
• Uniform and workwear laundry or dry cleaning
• Collection and delivery services
Services may be provided on a scheduled or ad-hoc basis depending on the agreement with the client.
3.1 Linen provided under our linen hire service remains the property of Magee’s Linen Hire & Commercial Laundry at all times.
3.2 Clients are responsible for ensuring hired linen is used appropriately and handled with reasonable care.
3.3 Linen supplied for hire is intended for normal commercial use only. It must not be used for purposes likely to cause damage including but not limited to:
3.4 Any linen that is lost, stolen, damaged beyond normal laundering, or excessively stained may be charged to the client at the current replacement value.
3.5 Linen must only be laundered by Magee’s Linen Hire & Commercial Laundry unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4.1 We provide professional laundering of customer-owned textiles and garments.
4.2 All items are washed using commercial detergents, stain treatments, and disinfectants, typically at 60°C, unless the care label states otherwise.
4.3 While every effort is made to treat stains and soiling, stain removal cannot be guaranteed.
4.4 Items are cleaned in accordance with manufacturer care labels where present.
4.5 Magee’s cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by:
5.1 Clients are responsible for ensuring items sent for laundry are suitable for commercial laundering.
5.2 We are not responsible for items left inside garments such as:
5.3 We recommend clients clearly identify or label their items where required.
6.1 While every care is taken in processing items, Magee’s liability for lost or damaged customer-owned items is limited.
6.2 Compensation for lost or damaged customer-owned goods will be limited to a maximum of 10 times the cleaning charge for that item, unless otherwise agreed.
6.3 Magee’s is not responsible for:
Where linen hire items are returned:
• heavily stained
• burned
• torn or cut
• damaged by chemicals
• missing
Magee’s reserves the right to charge the client replacement cost for the item.
8.1 Collection and delivery schedules will be agreed with the client where applicable.
8.2 Magee’s will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed delivery times but cannot guarantee specific times due to operational factors.
8.3 Clients must ensure items are available and ready for collection at the agreed time.
8.4 If access is unavailable or items are not ready, additional charges may apply.
9.1 Standard turnaround time is typically 48 hours, unless otherwise agreed.
9.2 Turnaround times may vary depending on:
10.1 All prices are subject to change without prior notice unless a fixed contract has been agreed.
10.2 Prices quoted may be exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
10.3 Additional charges may apply for:
11.1 Payment terms will be agreed with the client prior to service.
11.2 Unless otherwise agreed, invoices must be paid within 7–14 days of invoice date.
11.3 Magee’s reserves the right to suspend services where invoices remain unpaid beyond agreed terms.
11.4 Late payments may incur additional charges or interest in accordance with The Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
12.1 Where services are provided without a formal contract, either party may terminate the arrangement with reasonable notice.
12.2 Outstanding invoices must be settled before termination of service.
All commercial laundry and linen hire items are processed using professional detergents, disinfectants, and commercial equipment to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
However, Magee’s does not guarantee sterilisation unless specifically agreed.
Magee’s shall not be held liable for delays or failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond our control including but not limited to:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Magee’s total liability for any claim relating to services provided shall not exceed the value of the services supplied.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Magee’s reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be made available on our website or upon request.
